Founded in 1948, Nienstedt GmbH, located at the edge of the German Ruhr Valley, made its initial steps with sawing tools for the local Wood Industry. Affected by the structural changes in the region Nienstedt acknowledged the pioneer spirit and its technological competence into path-breaking expertise of sawing equipment applicable for foodstuff processing, with an initial focus on deep-frozen fish blocks. Having reached the 1970’s Nienstedt implemented the first completely automatic Fish Finger Production Line.
Advancing further specialization Nienstedt experienced more international business expansion. In the 1990’s the shaping technology was added. The complement use of both, sawing and shaping technology, enhances a diversity of finished product sizes and forms. Today the world’s most respected seafood brands rely on Nienstedt equipment. Novel approaches are reaching beyond other disciplines such as processing of tuna, shrimps, poultry, kebab meat, bakery and agricultural products and are continuously leveraging Nienstedt’s unique success story.
